Special Base Products

Flavor Burst systems work with most popular base products commonly used in soft serve and frozen beverage programs, therefore most of our concepts or programs do NOT require a special base product.

However, the JavaLatte frozen coffee, Frozen Carbonated Beverage (FCB), and Nice Ice slush programs do require special base products specifically formulated to provide maximum flavor impact and help maintain product consistency. Base products for these programs are available from Flavor Burst Company through your local distributor.

Flavor Burst Frozen Margarita Recipe

This recipe works best with a Taylor 430, 432 or 428 freezer. The Flavor Burst Neutral Base will create a margarita that is on the sweet side. For a more tart margarita, use United Citrus’ Low Sweet Neutral Base, which works very well for alcohol drinks.

  1. Prepare the neutral base in a 5-gallon bucket.
    Flavor Burst Neutral Base: Mix one jug (1/2 gallon size) of Flavor Burst Neutral Base (FLA NB-3) with 2 and 1/2 gallons of hot water.
    United Citrus Low Sweet Neutral Base: Mix the entire bag of Low Sweet Neutral Base powder with 3 gallons of water.
  2. Add 96 oz of Tequila (2.85 liters).
  3. Add 24 oz of Triple Sec (.7 liters).
  4. Mix thoroughly and pour into the Taylor 428/430/432 freezer hopper.
  5. Allow the product to freeze down, and serve with any number of Flavor Burst slush syrups.
